Sunshine coast restaurants

There are many contenders for Sunshine Coast’s top restaurant, from fine dining on white linen to cozy neighborhood restaurants. We are spoiled for choice, with many options, from intimate Italian restaurants to sprawling waterfront venues. Our stomachs are not happy either.

No matter what your mood is, these restaurants will have you covered. This is a problematic and not exhaustive list to narrow down. Here are 25 of the top restaurants on the Sunshine Coast for 2022. We’ll be there to thank you later.

Frenchies Brasserie

Listing the Sunshine Coast’s top restaurants without including Frenchies Brasserie on Thomas Street in Noosaville would be difficult. This Parisian-inspired restaurant offers exceptional French-style cuisine paired with fine wines. We recommend visiting Frenchies at minimum twice if you can, three times. There is no limit to the number of options. Many outstanding dishes include the duck leg confit, warm apple tart, and char-grilled prawns.

Liliana’s Trattoria

Although the term ‘authentic Italian’ is often used, it’s something that only some people are familiar with. Liliana’s Trattoria, a charming Italian restaurant in Maroochydore that serves classic Nonna Liliana-inspired Italian dishes, is the perfect place to enjoy traditional Italian cuisine. Liliana Kain, the inspiration for the Trattoria’s creation, is passionate about sharing her long-held family recipes and creating food from the heart for her family. Liliana’s personal touch is evident throughout the menu, from her beef meatballs and crumbed pork shoulder to her Italian focaccia with Crescenzi cheese to her beef cheek-ragu gnocchi to her woodfired sourdough pizzerias. Liliana’s Trattoria has a simple, authentic feel that focuses on sharing special moments with family and friends.

Dirty Moes

Dirty Moes was born from a love for the American South culture of slow-cooked soul food shared with loved ones. It is one of the most popular casual restaurants on the Sunshine Coast. Unsurprisingly, you’ll find ‘Low’ and ‘Slow’ plates of tender, fall-off-the-bone meat at Dirty Moes. You can wash it with a hand-crafted beer, whiskey, or the sticky date espresso martini. Wednesday night is Nacho Night at Dirty Moes. On Thursdays, you can get a burger with fries for $17.

ALBA

ALBA is translated as “white” or “sunrise.” It embodies Noosa’s true essence–it’s bright, breezy, refined, and perfectly captures the natural elements of the coastal surroundings. The spacious space includes a pizzeria, cafe, providore, and pizzeria. As the sun sets, it transforms into a chic restaurant. You can eat your way through the Asian-inspired, elegant menu. Start with bites like the Sri Lankan roti, red coconut chutney, BBQ pork belly, and chili pineapple salad with peanut caramel. The seared snapper is a must-try, with sambal, tamarind, and fragrant coconut curry. ALBA by Kuruvita was created by Peter Kuruvita, an award-winning chef and TV presenter. He was previously at the Noosa Beach House.

Dude, be humble

Humble On Duke is vibrant, creative, authentic, and the perfect new spot for us to eat. It’s an intimate but humble 14-seater restaurant that has set tongues wagging in Sunny Coast’s hospitality scene. Its creative twists, delicious food, and genuine passion for serving honest, good food have won hearts. You can be sure that Humble on Duke will always offer top-quality food, despite changing its weekly menu. The modern Australian flavors are boldly accented with Middle Eastern and Mediterranean spices. This makes for an unforgettable experience.

Pavilion Mooloolaba

Pavilion Mooloolaba is located just a stone’s throw from Mooloolaba’s breathtaking shoreline. It offers uninterrupted sweeping views, balmy ocean breezes, and a relaxed, intimate vibe. The interior exudes Mediterranean charm with terracotta-colored feature tiles, creamy white tones, and sprigs of greenery. Enjoy the European flavors of summer with their share-style menu. We are already salivating. You can start with fresh-shucked oysters, crispy cauliflower tacos, and forest mushroom ravioli before moving on to their 72-hour fermented base Pizzas. These delicious pizzas are topped with delicacies such as slow-roasted lamb shoulder, vegan butternut, and garlic prawns.

Honeysuckle

It’s not surprising that Honeysuckle is on our list of top Sunshine Coast restaurants. They offer traditional Yumcha sharing-style meals at very affordable prices. Honeysuckle offers many Yumcha dishes, including vegetarian and meat menus. You’ll have the time of your life at Honeysuckle. You can enjoy East Asian-inspired dishes such as Mooloolaba prawn Milk Bun with Cashey Satay, Thai Coconut soup, sweet and sour eggplant with pineapple, and Korean rice cakes during lunch (or brunch Yumcha).

Orleans

Orleans is a great place to go on special occasions or for a romantic dinner with your partner. This bar-slash restaurant combines French and New Orleans cuisines. It’s almost like walking into a small bar in Melbourne.

Bocca Italian

Tony Kelly, a Sunshine Coast and hospitality icon, has announced that he will open his eighth restaurant. You know it’s going to be great. You may wonder about his latest venture—Bokarina’s most beautiful beachfront Italian restaurant. Bocca Italian can be found at Bokarina Beach in a prime location and offers casual yet elegant dining. The restaurant seats 150 and features a modern fit-out. There is also a private dining area for 14 people, which can be used for more intimate occasions. Bocca Italian strongly believes in fresh produce and serves only the finest ingredients in its signature portions of pasta. The pizzas are made from imported stone-base Moretti pizza ovens.

Locale

Locale can be found at the Noosa Park end of Hastings Street. It is a must-see when you’re looking for the best restaurants along the Sunshine Coast. We guarantee you will return for more than a cocktail at this dimly lit bar. This sophisticated restaurant offers authentic Italian cuisine, including fresh-made portions of pasta and slow-roasted lamb shoulder. It will transform your life.

Sum Yung Guys

Sum Yung Guy is the creation of four local boys, including Matt Sinclair, an ex-Masterchef contestant. This Noosaville restaurant opened in 2017 and has since gained an excellent reputation. There is a waiting list. We recommend sharing delicious, share-style pan Asian dishes with friends. The banquet is a collection of the best hits from the menu. It includes king Prawn Toast, beef rendang, and sour curry. Sum Yung Guys is hands down one of the most popular restaurants on the Sunshine Coast.
