Preparing Broccolini

Wash Before cooking, take the broccolini from the packaging and rinse it in cool tap water.

Arrange the broccolini in a clean tea towel, then apply a gentle pat to dry.

Take leaves off-If the leaves are tethered to the leaves of your broccolini, remove them and throw them away.

Trim endsSlice off the lowest point of your broccolini’s stem ( 1/4 inch or less). We’ll cook the whole broccolini (including branches), so make sure you don’t cut too much!

How To Cook Broccolini

Like broccoli, it can be cooked in various ways, including sauteed, steamed or grilled, roasted, and (probably, although I’ve not tried it) air-fried.

Broccolini isn’t a long time to cook (5-10 minutes cooking time). You aren’t looking to overcook it. The stems may retain some crunch after the florets have been cooked.

Roasted broccolini425degF for 10-12 mins on a heavy sheet pan. Then, it’s sprinkled with olive oil.

Grilled broccolini medium/high over 5 to 6 mins. I strongly recommend using a grilling pan for vegetables so that you don’t need to worry about your broccoli falling off the grill.

Sauteed broccolini for 5 minutes, covered with olive oil, then covered for five minutes. I used a non-stick standard pan.

How To Cook Broccolini- 3 Ways

How to cook broccolini – three easy recipes to put a nutritious dinner option fast! Roasted broccolini cooked with balsamic vinegar, Parmesan grilling broccolini with lime and chili, and sauteed broccolini cooked with almonds and brown butter.

Ingredients

6 oz broccolini

One tablespoon olive oil one tablespoon olive

salt & pepper

1/8 cup of butter (28 grams)

1/8 cup almonds cut into slices

Grilled Broccolini With Chili & Lime

One tablespoon olive oil one tablespoon olive

One teaspoon of chili powder

1/4 teaspoon cumin

salt & pepper

One lime, sliced

Roasted Broccolini With Balsamic Vinegar & Parmesan

One tablespoon olive oil one tablespoon olive

One tablespoon balsamic vinegar one tablespoon balsamic

Three cloves minced garlic

salt & pepper

Two tablespoons fresh parmesan cheese grated

Instructions

In the pan on medium-high temperature. Add the broccolini to the pan and add salt and pepper.

Cook with a stirring now and then for 5 minutes.

Cover it and let it steam for 5 mins or until the broccolini is fresh and tender.

While broccolini cooks, prepare butter and melt it in a low pot. Let it simmer, stirring often for 5 to 10 minutes, or until you see tiny brown flecks of the broccoli and you can smell a toasty, nutty aroma.

Take the pot off immediately and pour the broccolini.

Sprinkle with almonds, sliced, and serve right away.

Grilled Broccolini With Chili & Lime

Cook the grill on medium/high heat.

Mix broccolini with olive oil, then sprinkle with chili powder, cumin and season with salt and pepper. Toss until coated.

Place the broccolini on a grilling plate. Place lemon slices over the broccolini.

Grill for about 5-8 minutes before flipping the grill halfway. Enjoy with lime wedges.

Roasted Broccolini With Balsamic Vinegar & Parmesan

Turn oven on to 425degF.

Toss the broccolini with olive oil along with balsamic vinegar and garlic. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Arrange the broccolini on the pan. Add any extra sauce and garlic on top of the broccolini florets.

Bake for 8-12 minutes until the broccolini is cooked to your preference.

Sprinkle with fresh parmesan cheese, then serve.
